So it has been a while since our last blog. No worries! We have been traveling for the last week and don’t return to NY until this coming Sunday. It has been a whirlwind trip that has so far included a drive from NY to southern Wisconsin, a funeral, time with friends, a Brewers game (they beat the Phillies!), a charity bike ride with Gregg, Natalie, and Ken, and some quality time on Florida’s gulf coast with our good friends Keith and Sarah (and Simon the inflatable sea turtle
.
Now it is just Kristy and I since Keith and Sarah had to head home early for work. We have one more full day in Florida before flying to WI on Friday and then driving from WI to NY on Saturday. This has been a much needed reprieve from the vigors of work, selling our house, building a new house, preparing to have a baby, volunteering at church, training for races, and running a triathlon club. By the time we return to our normal lives on Monday I hope to be re-charged so that we can give these duties the type of enthusiasm and passion they deserve.
For now I’ll leave you with a picture taken from my cell phone from behind the screen of our screened in porch that overlooks the Gulf of Mexico. The beach is full of white sand and lots of sea shells and the water is bustling with the activity of boaters, pelicans, dolphins, and sea turtles (we haven’t seen one yet but apparently they are in town for the breeding season). Once we get home I’ll post more pictures of our adventures that will be of a much higher quality. God Bless!
